Wow! What a wind gradient! 10 knots Southerly on the ground, but 35 knots SW at 2200 feet. At least 60 knots required for a safe approach.

Low cloud at about 1000 feet, showing weak SW wind wave. Rob J managed to hover at 2000 feet for over 20 minutes. Very high humidity finished the day when canopies misted over.
