Shalbourne Gliding

CORONAVIRUS INFORMATION (updated 13/04/2021)

Step 2 of the easing of lockdown which came into place on 12/04/2021 allows for the resumption of two-seat flying. Final preparations for the resumption of trial flights are being made and this page will be updated soon, at which point we will ask that you contact us to make a booking. However Covid-19 precautions will still severely affect operations and there is very limited availability of bookings for Trial Lessons.

(Vouchers issued between 1st March 2020 and 30th September 2020, will be valid until 30th September 2021. Please note your voucher accordingly.)

If you wish to upgrade your voucher to full club membership and begin the journey of learning to fly then please contact us now.

Vouchers are available to purchase, but it will not be possible to use the voucher until restrictions are reduced. Please contact us for advice before purchasing a voucher.

We regret that we are able to accept visitors only by arrangement. Please contact us for advice before coming to the airfield.

Visit us at Shalbourne and share the thrill of flying over one of England's most beautiful downland sites. We are located close to the point where Wiltshire meets Berkshire & Hampshire, 4 miles south of Hungerford, midway between Marlborough, Newbury and Andover.

Weather permitting, we meet at Rivar Hill for flying on weekends, bank holidays and most Wednesdays. Just come along sometime, and we'll fit in your initial trial lesson as quickly as we can, starting from just £45*

* Payment by cash or cheque; regrettably we cannot process cards at the airfield.
